Data we process and why
We process only what is needed to run a games review site and to respond to you:
Usage and device data (pages viewed, referral, approximate location from IP, browser and OS) to keep the site reliable, secure, and useful.
Cookie and similar identifiers for basic functionality and, with your consent, for analytics and performance.
Messages you send us (e.g., requests, feedback) so we can reply and keep a record of our correspondence.
Optional interaction data (favorites, comments, or account details if we launch these features) to provide the features you choose.
Children’s data: if you are under the locally applicable age for online consent in Italy (14 years), a parent or guardian must provide or authorise consent where consent is the legal basis. Garante Privacy
Legal bases and cookies
Depending on the context, we rely on:
Performance of a contract or steps prior to entering into one (delivering requested site features).
Legitimate interests (site security, fraud prevention, service diagnostics, quality measurement) balanced against your rights.
Consent (non-essential cookies/analytics and any optional emails). You can withdraw consent at any time via your browser settings or by contacting us; withdrawal does not affect processing before withdrawal. For details on non-essential cookies we use and your choices, see our Cookie Policy.
Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the site (hosting, security, analytics, customer support) under data-processing agreements. If data is transferred outside the EEA, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and technical measures appropriate to the risk. Disclosures may also occur where required by law or to defend legal claims.
Retention and security
We keep data only as long as needed: server logs up to 12 months; routine analytics in identifiable form up to 26 months before aggregation; correspondence up to 24 months; account data (if applicable) until deletion. We apply layered safeguards: restricted access, encryption in transit, minimisation, and vendor due diligence. No online service can promise absolute security, but we work to reduce risk and respond promptly to incidents.
Your rights and how to exercise them (Italy/EU)
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or portability of your data, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante). Contact details for the Garante: Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Roma, Italy; Tel. +39 06 69677 1; [email protected]. Garante Privacy
